Born in Texas and raised in Oakland, California, Ms. Goldie’s childhood was not always easy. She faced many challenges growing up, including bullying and difficult experiences that no child should ever have to go through.
As a teenager, she made some unhealthy choices and found herself going down a path that led to pain, sadness, and addiction. For a while, she felt lost and unsure of her future.
But her story did not end there.
Through faith, determination, and support, Ms. Goldie began turning her life around. She worked hard to heal from her past, overcome addiction, and rebuild her life step by step. Even though healing is still a journey, she continues to grow stronger every day
Today, Ms. Goldie Reed is an author of over 18 books and the founder of Say NO yO!, an outreach organization she started in 2012 in Los Angeles, California. She is a passionate advocate against Bullying and now visits schools, group homes, and community programs to encourage children and families to stand up against bullying and make positive choices.
Her message is simple:
No matter where you start, your story can change.
You can heal.
You can grow.
You can rise.
Ms. Goldie’s life is proof that transformation is possible, and she now dedicates her life to helping others find hope and strength.
